My Go To Makeup Products

Hey Everyone,

I thought I would share my go to makeup products with you, it took me so long to find products that I thought were good, worked with my skin and stayed on all day. All of these products have been tried and tested on my 13 hour shifts in the hospital and none of them needed a top up once so I think that shows how good they are. Not everyone’s skin will be the same as mine so these may not work for you but they are definitely worth a try!

Primer: Benefit Porefessional Matte Rescue – A primer is a staple in any makeup bag and will help your makeup stay all day. Throughout the day my skin can get quite oily and my makeup can start to slide off my skin, this primer combined with my go to foundation and powder definitely combat this problem and I can go all day without having to top up my makeup.

Foundation: MAC Pro Longwear Liquid Foundation – As I said above my skin can get quite oily during the day and foundation can end up lifting and separating on my skin. This is the only foundation that won’t be sliding off my face or sitting in my creases by the end of the day. It 100% does what it says on the tin and rarely needs topping up throughout the day. It also has an SPF of 10 which is great as some foundations have none and we all know how important it is to wear SPF everyday and protect our skin from UV rays.

Concealer: Catrice Liquid Camouflage High Coverage Concealer – I have some creases under my eyes and I find thick concealers can just sit in those creases and not set properly, the Catrice concealer is really high coverage but so light at the same time, it sets so well and doesn’t sit in my creases, it’s also an absolute bargin!

Powder: Mac Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation – I know this says it’s a foundation but I like to use it as powder under my eyes and on my ‘T zone’, it sets under my eyes and any creases I have so well and rarely needs topping up, this powder definitely helps with taming my oily skin. This combined with the Porefessional Matte Rescue Primer and the Pro Longwear Foundation are a trio made in heaven.

Powder Bronzer: Bbold Contour Kit – I love love love this contour kit! I don’t contour I only use bronzer and the shade of bronzer in this kit is just perfect and so warm. I use the contour shade and the highlighter as my every day eye shadows so the kit doubles up as an eye shadow palette. I’ve tried alternative bronzers in the past and nothing compares to Bbold.

Cream Bronzer: SOSU by SJ Cream Stick Shade Warm – I love to use this when I am wearing tan, it adds a warmth to the skin that you wouldn’t get with just powder bronzer. I would normally blend this out onto my skin then set it with the Bbold bronzer, this combination just gives such a warm glow and will leave you looking like a bronzed goddess!

Blusher: Benefit Gold Rush Warm Golden-Nectar Blush – This was 100% my best makeup buy of 2018. It is such a gorgeous shade of blush and is so versatile, you can wear it as a blush, wear it in its own with no bronzer to add a touch of colour to a bare face, or use it as an eyeshadow. Honestly just buy it you won’t regret it.

Highlighter: SOSU by SJ Highlighter Kit – This is another extremely versatile palette, I’ve had mine over two years and its still going strong! There are six shades and each one is stunning. I mainly use the shades shooting star and unicorn dust for highlighting my cheekbones, brow bones and the inner corner of my eye, I like to use the other shades as eyeshadows, or for highlighting my collar bones and shoulders when wearing tan. If you are looking for a super dewy highlighter palette that will leave you glowing then go for this Highlighter Kit.

Eyebrows: Benefit Ka-Brow Shade 3, Benefit Gimme Brow Shade 3, Benefit 24-hour Brow Setter – I know it probably sounds mad to be using three different products on your eyebrows but the combination of these three products will give you fab fluffy brows which is what I love! I use the Ka-Brow to shape my brows and fill in any bare patches I have, then I use Gimme brow to bring texture back into my brows after using the Ka-Brow, and I then set it all with 24-hour Brow Setter. Your eyebrows will not budge and will looks so so natural, plus there are 8 shades to choose from so definitely something for everyone.
